State of Maine Child Care License
The Stepping Stones Montessori School Primary Program (preschool/kindergarten) is licensed as a Child Care Facility by the State of Maine, but we are a school first that serves a child care need for preschool children who are in school full-time.

Maine State Department of Education Approved Private School K-8
Stepping Stones Montessori School is recognized as an Approved Private School for grades K-8 by the Maine State Department of Education.

Stepping Stones Montessori School is state tuition-approved for students living in districts without a Middle School or certain grade. 

Montessori Teacher Training
